The Law Society of Scotland
The Law Society of Scotland is the governing body for Scottish solicitors. The Society promotes the interests of the solicitors' profession in Scotland and the interests of the public in relation to the profession. The Members Information section of the website contains a range of information useful to solicitors, although it is accessible to all, e.g. an online version of the rules and guidance contained in the Solicitors Professional Handbook, useful links to information for conveyancers and others and a series of forms which solicitors use on a regular basis. There is also a searchable database and a vacancies section.

The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW)
ICAEW provide their members with knowledge and guidance based on the highest ethical and technical standards. The ICAEW website contains a wealth of information and services for students, members, employers, subscribers, accountancy professionals and the general public.

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS)
ICAS is the world’s first professional body of accountants, receiving its Royal Charter in 1854. Since then, ICAS has played a leading role in the accountancy profession. The website offers a Members Area which contains information for CAs working in business and practice, the ICAS Press Office, a FAQs Information service, the CA Business Courses Directory, a Vacancies section and information about CA Magazine.

Financial Services Authority (FSA)
The Financial Services Authority (FSA) is an independent non-governmental body, given statutory powers by the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000. The FSA's website contains a wealth of information aimed at firms and intermediaries. It includes factsheets on a variety of subjects, and details of training workshops and events arranged by the FSA. There is also an FAQs section.
